Facilities & Services at Balsham Shoot

Balsham Shoot provides high quality red-legged partridge shooting with a relaxed atmosphere throughout the day. A typical day shooting at Balsham begins with breakfast being provided for the guns from 8.45 in the fully functional and unique yurt. Either Tom or Emily will host the day and will start with a safety briefing. There will be four or five drives throughout the day, and it is left to the clients’ discretion when they would like elevenses and lunch, with various options on offer between the yurt and the elevenses hut. With a wide variety of drinks and refreshments on offer as well as a delicious two course lunch, the atmosphere of the yurt will trump anything else you’ve seen on a shoot day! The guns will then take home a ‘party bag’ which contains the shoot card and some other goodies.

Shoot loaders and minders can easily be provided by prior arrangement.

Overnight accommodation for guests can be arranged upon request, and there is plenty of option if booked far enough in advance.

Balsham village lies ten miles southeast of the centre of Cambridge, with quick links to the A11/M11 and the A14. Newmarket is also just a short drive away. Any clients coming from overseas may wish to access the shoot via Cambridge International airport.
